Social Rooms – Fragments of Society
This spatial installation reflects the complex layers of identity, social interaction, and memory. The various materials and image fragments intertwine to create a visual narrative about community, isolation, and personal history. The collage of figurative and abstract elements creates a tension between intimacy and distance. The illuminated portraits and miniature scenes reference spaces of remembrance, while the darker areas of the installation symbolize hidden experiences and collective memories.Through the combination of painting, objects, and light, the space itself becomes a metaphorical “Social Room”a place where past and present intersect, blurring the boundaries between the real and the digital world.
Fragments of Society – Blurred Identities
In this installation, I integrate my own portrait alongside projections of Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet at the Biennale. By merging personal and public imagery, Fragments of Society explores the fluid boundaries between real identity and digital self-representation.
The projection blurs intimacy and mass culture, authenticity and curation. My face becomes part of the same visual spectrum as global pop culture icons—reflecting how social media reshapes our perception of self and belonging. Where do we position ourselves in a world of constant digital exposure? Who controls the narrative of our identity?
